Arrowverse star Grant Gustin literally hangs up his The Flash suit in an emotional farewell video after finishing filming on season 9. This year is marking to be one of the most emotional for The CW's Arrowverse franchise. After several cancellations in 2022, The Flash season 9 is in the midst of finishing Barry Allen's last story. The DC TV drama has less than 10 episodes left to air before the upcoming series finale on May 24.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Production officially wrapped on The Flash series finale this past weekend in Vancouver, Canada. While several cast members had reacted to saying goodbye to the series, Gustin has now broken his silence too, after finishing The Flash season 9 filming. The Flash star shared an emotional video where he literally hangs up the iconic suit for the last time. Gustin also provided a lengthy bittersweet statement about seeing the journey come to an end.
During The Flash series finale filming, Zoom and Reverse-Flash were seen joining forces with a few other familiar foes. While their returns have yet to be explained, Godspeed and Savitar will also be back for the Arrowverse drama's big finale. Additionally, a new adversary will rise in the series finale. Rick Cosnett, who played Eddie Thawne, will also play a major role in the final episodes.
There is also a major Arrowverse reunion happening in The Flash season 9, episode 9. Arrow's Stephen Amell and David Ramsey will appear one last time as Green Arrow and John Diggle. Keiynan Lonsdale will also bring back Kid Flash for the last time in episode 9. Sendhil Ramamurthy will reprise the role of Bloodwork in that same installment. With only a few episodes left to air, the end is near for The Flash season 9.
