A majority of House Republicans and Democrats voted down a resolution from Rep. Matt Gaetz calling for the removal of U.S. troops from Syria.
Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., put forward a resolution to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria, but it fell in the House in a 103-321 vote.
"No one in my district ever demands, ‘Marjorie, we must go to war in Syria,’" said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. "This measure forces a premature end to our mission at a critical time for our efforts," said Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., the top Democrat on McCaul’s committee.
