Gas prices dropping, with several stations in Cleveland below $3 per gallon
for a Thanksgiving holiday this year, but drivers could see a much different situation by the time Christmas arrives.
A Gas USA on the 3900 block of West 117th Street in Cleveland was selling gas for $2.74 per gallon, the cheapest in the area,. In East Cleveland, a Marathon station on the 16000 block of Euclid Avenue was listing at $2.79 per gallon. That’s well-below the national average of $3.52 per gallon and the Ohio average of $3.41 per gallon. In Cuyahoga County, the average price is $3.35. The only county bordering Cuyahoga with higher gas prices is Geauga County, which is averaging $3.47.

Santos reports gas leak and gas salesOil and gas major Santos has temporarily shut down the Jon Brookes platform, offshore Western Australia, after identifying a gas leak in a subsea flange. The company said on Tuesday that the observation of the leak occurred during routine activities on the normally un-staffed facility. The platform and pipeline were immediately shutdown and depressurised and all personnel demobilised.
