A fundraising effort has been launched for an Alabama deputy shot five times during a domestic dispute that left his father dead.
“Deputy Law is surrounded by his family, including his girlfriend and their child and his law enforcement family,” sheriff’s Lt. Ricky Thompson wrote in the GoFundMe. “His family knows how strong he is, and they are ready to tackle this road to recovery together.”
“His mother had just been involved in a domestic situation at her residence with his father,” the sheriff said. “She was advised by the police department to go get a warrant and seek a protection order.”
