A Fort Worth police officer shot a man who is accused of stealing a vehicle and leading authorities on a chase late Tuesday.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a vehicle burglary call at an automotive repair shop near the 2700 block of White Settlement Road. Officers learned that a man had driven away from the location in a black Range Rover that was at the shop for service, police said. Officers shouted at the man to get out of the vehicle, but he did not respond to commands, police said, so they broke the back window of the Range Rover to “get a better view into” the vehicle.
