Campaign signs around Fort Bend County have been catching a lot of attention recently for the wrong reasons.

"The lack of civility and disrespect involved in these crimes is a degradation of our community values," Middleton said."These actions do not reflect the high moral standards that are typical of Fort Bend County."surveillance footage to his Facebook page"I think it's unfortunate that this type of behavior is taking place in Fort Bend County," Nehls said."I hope those responsible are caught and held accountable for their actions.

"Each of these big signs costs $100, plus the time and effort to put it up," said Mathews, who says Sugar Land PD and the Fort Bend Sheriff's Office did not respond to his complaints on the subject."Last week, again I lost two more big signs in Sugar Land Moosa Colony on Hwy 6 and Voss Road. ... But I am not here to cry about it moving on."

"It happens to all of us. I highly suspect it's a group of people," said Mathew, who expressed disappointment at the behavior."When your face is crossed out, it just seems personal."
