Bailey Zappe put up huge numbers at HBU and now is playing quarterback for the Patriots.

The Patriots selected Zappe in the fourth round of this year's NFL Draft out of Western Kentucky. Before playing for the Hilltoppers, Zappe, who graduated from Victoria East High School, played three seasons at HBU. As a junior for the Huskies, Zappe threw for 3,811 yards and 35 touchdowns.
Zappe entered his rookie season as the Patriots' third-string quarterback, but was the backup Sunday with starter Mac Jones out with an ankle injury. Hoyer was ruled out with a head injury after being hit late in the first quarter with the Patriots leading 3-0. Zappe completed three of his first five passes for nine yards.— to play in an NFL game. Former HBU linebacker Caleb Johnson played 14 games for the Bears last season and currently plays for the Jaguars.
