It is actually a proven therapy and there are boxing groups of Parkinson's patients all over the country. The condition is caused by a loss of nerve cells, and the goal is to try to stop the loss plus regenerate those cells. Doctors believe a toxic environment from things like pesticides could cause the problem. It can also be caused by genetics or even a brain injury puts someone at higher risk of Parkinson's.

Bobby has also joined a Phase 2 clinical trial, studying 45 patients with Parkinson's, at UTHealth. "This stem cell therapy has been so interesting. It was a series of six infusions, so lots of tests before the stem cells and then tests at the end of the infusions," explains Stacy.
