It turns out Carlos Correa will participate in the MLB postseason after all.
The former Astros star shortstop will serve as a guest analyst during TBS' studio coverage of Thursday's ALDS games, the network announced Wednesday. Correa will appear on the"MLB on TBS Leadoff" pregame show starting at 1:30 p.m. Central on Thursday before Game 2 of the Astros-Mariners series slated to start at 2:37 p.m.
He will also be on the"MLB on TBS Closer" postgame show following the Yankees-Guardians nightcap that is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.Correa spent 10 seasons in the Astros organization after being drafted first overall in 2012. He was a key cog in the greatest era in franchise history, winning American League Rookie of the Year in 2015 and playing a pivotal role on the 2017 World Series championship team.
He departed last offseason as a free agent, signing a three-year, $105 contract with Minnesota that has opt-outs after each of the first two seasons.
