Susan Mae Igus was released from prison in May, then hired again using a stolen identity in July.
A Pensacola, Fla., woman released from prison in May after doing 18 months for posing as a certified nurses assistant was hired again in July using a stolen identity.
Igus’ 18-month prison sentence stemmed from a December 2021 arrest by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office after Igus was found posing as a CNA in Gulf Breeze. But the scheme was uncovered, police say, when the person whose identity was stolen received a letter from the rehabilitation center thanking them for their service as an employee. That person contacted Crestview police.
