disorderly/Getty Images/iStockphotoThe advisories went into effect around 9 a.m. Saturday and apply to some low-lying areas in Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties, including San Rafael, Novato, Sausalito, Larkspur and Muir Beach.
“There’s going to be some localized flooding, especially in those places with lower lands where there are roads that often have flooding issues. They’re definitely going to be seeing it from this one,” Brayden Murdock, a meteorologist with the weather service, told SFGATE. Murdock said people in affected areas should avoid driving on flooded roads and that those located close to a burn scar should keep an emergency bag ready.
