Firefighters early Thursday used tools to pry a woman from her car after she crashed it into a big rig truck hauling gravel in northeast Houston, officials said. The woman’s condition wasn’t immediately available, officials told On Scene reporters. It took about 15 minutes for emergency responders to save the woman from the vehicle before taking her to a nearby trauma center.
Officers around 1:50 a.m. responded to a crash in the 6000 block of Homestead Road, officials said. Witnesses said the truck had been trying to make a U-turn when the woman’s vehicle struck it, going quickly.
