Sarah Bloom Raskin, U.S. President Joe Biden’s nominee to be vice chair of supervision at the Federal Reserve, withdrew her name from consideration on March 15. She informed Biden of her decision after Democrat Joe Manchin publicly opposed her nomination the previous day. She needed approval from the Senate, where Democrats hold half of the 100 seats in the chamber.
