The FBI is investigating embattled Santos for his alleged role in a fundraising scheme for a disabled U.S. Navy veteran’s dying service dog, Politico reports.

Santos' office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York did not immediately respond to Axios' request for comment.
