Officials identified the driver as Christopher A. Edwards, 28, and the child as Edwards' 4-year-old son, officials said.
Two people, a father and son, were killed in a single vehicle crash on State Road 32 east of Noblesville Saturday, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said in a press release Monday.
The crash occurred where State Road 32 crosses Stony Creek, just east of Deshane Avenue, the sheriff's office said. After seeing black smoke in the area just before 1 a.m. Saturday, a Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy found a dark-colored Chevrolet Camaro on the creek bed, up in flames and damaged. The fire was put out by the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department and Noblesville Fire Department.

Edwards likely lived in Tennessee, according to officials, but is originally from Anderson. Both were dead at the scene, Hamilton County Deputy Sheriff Bryan Melton confirmed to IndyStar.
