Family members and friends of Floriselda Milla Villanueva, who has been missing since Oct. 16, were carrying out a search Saturday in a wooded area in the Pea Ridge community when the group found partial human remains
Human remains were discovered over the weekend in Shelby County by a group searching for a missing Hoover woman.
Shelby County sheriff’s officials said during the search the group found partial human remains and called 911. The remains have not yet been identified, nor has the cause of death been determined. The remains were taken by the Shelby County Coroner’s Office to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for forensic testing and identification.
Hoover police asked that anyone with information about Villanueva’s disappearance to call dispatchers at 205-822-5300. Tipsters can also call Det. Brandon Eddy 205-739-7499, or Det. Todd Henningsen 205-444-7534. Spanish-speaking tipsters are asked to call Henningsen.
