Faith leaders shared thoughts and insights on the tragic loss of life after 'debris fields' were discovered on the ocean floor and determined to be from the missing OceanGate submersible.
Alex McFarland, a youth, culture and religion expert in Greensboro, North. Carolina, told Fox News Digital in emailed comments,"Heartfelt condolences and sympathy go out to the families of the five lives tragically lost in the failed OceanGate submersible accident."
He added,"Since Sunday evening, people around the world followed this story with prayerful concern. How ironic is it that 111 years afterRear Admiral John Mauger, commander, the First Coast Guard District, is shown speaking during a press conference about the search of the missing OceanGate Expeditions submersible, which carried five people to explore the wreck of the sunken Titanic, in Boston, June 22, 2023.
In addition, McFarland noted,"It must be said that the OceanGate tragedy is a vivid reminder of how precious human life is."
