Jenifer Ann Packer, 64, a former City of Leeds accounting assistant, is charged with first-degree theft and use of office for personal gain, according to court records made public Friday.
A former City of Leeds employee has been indicted on ethics charges.
According to charging documents, Packer was an accounting assistant for the City of Leeds. Records state she was fired from her job on July 2, 2018, amid an ongoing investigation.The warrant against Packer accuses her of stealing more than $2,500 from the city. Additional details are not yet available.
Jefferson County Jail records show she was booked on Wednesday at 12:48 p.m. and released at 7:39 p.m. after posting $30,000 bond.
