The Magnum P.I. reboot is set to end with Season 5 Part 2, and this is everything we know about the final 10 episodes.

When NBC renewed Magnum P.I. for season 5, the series was living on borrowed time, and now, it’s official that Magnum P.I. Season 5 Part 2 will be the end of the show. Set in Hawaii, Magnum P.I. premiered on CBS in 2018 as a remake of the Tom Selleck series that began in 1980. It’s had a successful run, complete with crossovers with other shows that rebooted existing crime series — Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver. Both of those reboots have come to an end, and the second half of Magnum P.I.

Most Recent Magnum P.I. Season 5 Part 2 News In the latest Magnum P.I. Season 5 Part 2 news, the series has actually been canceled by NBC. Season 5 is the only series of the show to air on NBC, and some had hoped that moving to a new home meant Magnum's adventures could continue for multiple new seasons. Prior to the fifth season, Magnum P.I. was developed for and aired on CBS. When CBS canceled the series after the fourth season in May 2022, NBC saved the series from cancelation.

Knowing in advance that this batch of episodes will be the last allows the cast to plan their futures beyond the show, but will also allow the writers to have an endpoint when they head back to work. Showrunner Eric Guggenheim confirmed to TV Guide that there will be a new addition to the Magnum P.I. Season 5 Part 2 cast in Patrick Fabian. The Better Call Saul cast member will appear as an antagonist in the final batch of episodes. Sab Shimono will also guest star in episode 13, which will feature a storyline about Japanese internment camps in the United States during World War II.
