The fire started Monday after a big rig crashed on the freeway near Live Oak Road between Colfax and Weimar.
PLACER COUNTY - Containment on the Oak Fire has increased to 70%, and the fire is holding at 22 acres.
Evacuation orders have been lifted for areas affected by the Oak Fire, which is burning near Weimar in Placer County. Forward progress on the fire has been stopped, Cal Fire officials say. The last update from officials Tuesday put the fire at 22 acres and 20 percent containment. On Monday night, acreage was at 17 percent. Containment was 0 percent.
