Strong to severe storms will be possible in much of Alabama on Tuesday, especially on Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. The areas in orange have a Level 3 out of 5 risk for severe weather. The areas in yellow have a Level 2 risk, and the areas in dark green have a Level 1 risk. All forms of severe weather will be possible, and a strong tornado can't be ruled out in west Alabama. Have a reliable way to get severe weather warnings, especially tomorrow night.
In addition to storms there will be gusty winds during the day that could down tree limbs and power lines and the potential for flash flooding. Up to 4 inches of rain will be possible through Wednesday, according to forecasters. 'NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has an enhanced risk for severe weather in place for parts of west Alabama for Tuesday. An enhanced risk is Level 3 out of 5 and means that numerous severe storms will be possible.
Areas to the east of that have a marginal or Level 1 risk and could see isolated severe storms.
