Election: Final voting underway on June 27 in LA City Council District 6 race
Sanchez said Tuesday that historically, a final surge of voters show up to vote centers after they get off work on Election Day.
“Even if it’s 5 o’clock, I certainly encourage anyone who has not voted to get out there and cast their ballots,” he said, adding that people who are at a vote center or in line by 8 p.m., when the centers close, will be allowed to vote. Seven vote centers are open until 8 p.m. in District 6 for in-person voting or to drop off completed ballots.
Voters may also drop off ballots at any of the 13 ballot drop-boxes within the district through Election Day. Ballots dropped in mailboxes must be postmarked by today.
