The group said it targeted 43 large, luxury, gas-powered SUVs, avoiding electric or hybrid cars, or those with a handicap tag, leaving notes titled, “Your gas guzzler kills,” explaining their motives. The group claims that SUVs are a climate danger, creating pollution and causing danger to public safety. “SUVs and 4x4s are a disaster for our health, our public safety and our climate,” according to the website. “Bigger and bigger cars are dominating our towns and cities, and all so a privileged few can flaunt their wealth.”
