Driver killed, toddler passenger hurt when 3-wheeler crashes in Lakeside [Breaking]
A 63-year-old man driving a three-wheeler died and his 2-year-old passenger was injured when the vehicle crashed on a Lakeside road Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. on Serena Road, west of Serena Lane, CHP Officer Jared Grieshaber said in a news release. The man was driving a 1985 red Honda 250SX all-terrain cycle eastbound on Serena Road, west of Serena Lane, Grieshaber said.As he approached a right curve in the road, the driver lost control, the officer said. The three-wheeler left the roadway and both the driver and the toddler were thrown off.The driver, a Lakeside resident whose name has not been released, died at the scene. The little boy, also a Lakeside resident, was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital with minor injuries.
