Traffic resumes on I-69 near Newcastle Drive exit after downed power lines
Earlier, the department around 9 a.m. said the freeway had been blocked in both directions and warned travelers to seek alternate routes.
Officials from the Houston Police Department said at least two vehicles had been involved in a collision and at least one person was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in the crash. Officers also received reports of downed power lines on the service road.
