Donald Trump ventured into truly bizarre territory on Monday night, explaining a hypothetical scenario where he would apparently flee to Russia.
Why is Trump imagining such a scenario? Your guess is as good as mine. But the indictments Trump is currently staring down—and the prospect of prison time—is clearly taking a toll on the 45th president.
There are even audio tapes of Trump trying to pressure Georgia election officials to “find” enough votes that would allow him to declare victory in the case. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, once a Trump ally, recently acknowledged Trump lost the election and encouraged his party to stop living in the past. “Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History,” Trump wrote on Truth Social“In my case, the trip to Atlanta is not for ‘Murder,’ but for making a PERFECT PHONE CALL! She campaigned, and is continuing to campaign, and raise money on, this WITCH HUNT. This is in strict coordination with Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ.
