Dolly Parton performs in concert on July 31, 2015, in Nashville, Tenn. Parton has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Dolly Parton unveiled Friday Dollywood’s newest attraction, Big Bear Mountain, a roller coaster set to open in spring 2023.
The coaster, which reaches max speeds of 48 mph at a cost of $25 million, takes you through a cave and waterfalls. SUV coaster cars put you on a mission to find “Big Bear.”According to a release, the ride will last nearly two minutes over the span of 3,990 feet of track, reaching an elevation of 66 feet.
The ride will include “three separate launches, multiple airtime hills, high-speed carousel turns, and tunnels, including a pass behind a waterfall,” a release said. “We don’t know where we are going from here but hopefully it’s going up, doing more fun things for families,”
