The Dallas-based restaurant continues its international expansion.

By DBJ staffDallas-based Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is expanding to the Philippines, the company announced today.

The food chain seeks to open the first Dickey’s in Manila in the second quarter of 2023, according to a news release. “We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing the best, 'Legit. Texas. Barbecue' across the globe to the Philippines in 2023,” Jim Perkins, EVP of Dickey’s, said in a news release. “With the representation of the Lee family, we have no doubt that the upcoming Dickey’s development will be a major success.”

Max Lee, son of master partner John Lee and also owns and operates Dicky’s in the San Francisco Bay Area, will lead the expansion in the Philippines and the development of an additional 40 locations.
