Flooding from Tropical Storm Kay took out roads leading to the San Bernardino Mountains community at the start of U-pick apple season.
People come to Oak Glen to experience nature, but sometimes the mountain community gets a little more than it can handle.
Oak Glen is known throughout Southern California for its U-pick orchards, and growers said they have a good crop. Stone Soup Farm employee Hailey Trejo talks with Tim Riley as she collects fallen heirloom Stayman Winesap apples from more than 120-year-old trees on the farm as they prepare for the apple season. Stone Soup Farm includes old and new apple trees, a regenerative farm in Oak Glen.
