A search is underway Wednesday for a suspect in the killing of two people in Dublin, police say.A sheriff's deputy suspected in a double homicide in Dublin overnight has surrendered to police and was taken into custody near Coalinga, police announced Wednesday.
Twenty-four-year-old Devin Williams, Jr., an Alameda County sheriff's deputy, was the focus of a police manhunt before he contacted authorities to surrender. He's suspected in the shooting of two people. Police responded to a 911 call at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday at the 3100 block of Colebrook Lane. When they arrived at the scene, police found a man and woman suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. They are believed to be husband and wife.Williams has been with the department for about a year, according to authorities.Williams was considered armed and dangerous before he was taken into custody.
