Later this week, storms are expected to broaden as a cold front moves in Wednesday afternoon, hitting wider areas on the plains. Turbulent weather is expected in the mountains at the end of the week.
Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms are expected with brief heavy rain. There will be an increase threat for flash flooding on Thursday with increasing moisture and chances for heavy rain.
