Newbury Park’s Brady Smigiel is the Daily News boys athlete of the week.
Smigiel scored five touchdowns in one half in Newbury Park’s 63-6 win over Crespi last week. The freshman righty threw for 237 yards and four touchdowns before rushing for a touchdown before halftime. The star-studded freshman has thrown 12 TDs in the Panthers’ first three games.
I’m at Newbury Park to watch Brady Smigiel for myself. A 6-foot-4 freshman QB that’s thrown 8 TDs in two games, with no INTs. Panthers are 2-0, looking to stay unbeaten against Crespi tonight.
