Thirty-seven new monkeypox cases have been reported in Ohio in the past week, with Cuyahoga County continuing to lead the state in the number of infections, according to the Ohio Department of Health.

Since monkeypox arrived in Ohio earlier this summer, there have been 184 cases, with 90 so far in Cuyahoga County. Twelve people have been hospitalized with the illness, which is about 6.5% of all of Ohio’s cases.Currently monkeypox is spreading among men who are intimate or have sex with men.
