U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officers in Philadelphia seized the drugs on March 14 that were sent from Kosovo and headed to Maine.
The wrapped presents included costume jewelry and fabric and something customs officers said are “a real downer.”officers in Philadelphia on March 14, 2023, opened the gifts and discovered 2,055 alprazolam pills and 2,000 clonazepam pills.
While people ordering the prescription medications may think they are getting a good deal, officers said there is no way to determine if the drugs are safe or legitimate. The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol screens people and cargo at ports of entry into the United States and “searches for illicit narcotics, unreported currency, weapons, counterfeit consumer goods, prohibited agriculture, invasive weeds and pests, and other illicit products that could potentially harm the American public, U.S. businesses, and our nation’s safety and economic vitality.”Good boy!
