County issues bacteria warning for some beaches in La Jolla, Coronado, Oceanside [Breaking]
County officials issued an advisory Wednesday that bacteria levels at several beaches from South to North County have exceeded state health standards and may cause illness.
The beaches were Tourmaline Surf Park; La Jolla Shores at El Paseo Grande; La Jolla Windansea at Palomar Avenue and Neptune Place; Avenida Lunar in Coronado; and Forster Street in Oceanside. Officials advise beachgoers to avoid water contact at these areas.for Torrey Pines State Beach and Avenida De La Playa was lifted after water quality samples met California’s health standards, according to a news release from the county Department of Environmental Health and Quality.
