Count Dooku made his first appearance in the Star Wars prequel trilogy as a Sith Lord, but his history is a lot more complicated than it seems. Prior to his fall to the dark side, Count Dooku was not just a Jedi, but Qui-Gon Jinn’s master and Yoda’s apprentice. The movies don’t spend very much time explaining his transition, but Dooku becomes a driving force in the struggle between the Republic and the Separatists.
