Authorities say they are probing whether it was a bias-related incident.
An investigation has been launched to determine if vandalism done to a Morris County church’s sign was a bias-related crime, officials said.in Morristown discovered the damage on the morning of May 20 and reported the incident to the police, according to a statement from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Detectives from the office and the Morristown Police Department met with Rev. Cynthia Black, who serves as the rector of the church, on Tuesday to discuss the investigation, and “proactive measures to reassure parishioners,” according to the statement.
