His dad, Jim McIntyre, has been a fixture in the Saskatchewan AAA Hockey League for decades with the Contacts organization. He’s been an owner, governor, coach, general manager and volunteer over the years. His first step was getting to know the loyal fans who support their teams in Saskatchewan communities, as well as coaches, general managers and the board of governors.
Is there a way to reward Saskatchewan players who choose to stay at home? Some sort of financial incentive? “ I probably watched 35 games. I was absolutely amazed at the calibre of hockey. I don’t think many realize that it is a good calibre, there are some high-end kids.”Article content
