The Hinsdale High School District 86 board voted unanimously for a 5% increase in the property tax levy at its last meeting.

The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $94,932,195.00, representing a 5.82% increase over the previous year. She said the human resources department created a draft staffing framework for the board to review before the final version is presented in December. The goal of the framework is to find areas to maximize academic opportunities while balancing fiscal responsibility while taking into account several staffing constraints like teacher qualifications and scheduling, Moore explained.
