College student arrested after police find handgun, 11 rounds of ammo in N.J. dorm, cops say

A 21-year-old student at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Bergen County was arrested after a police search of his dorm room on Tuesday turned up a handgun and a magazine loaded with 11 bullets, authorities said. Kawan Joseph, a hotel and restaurant tourism major at the college, faces several charges, including two counts of second-degree weapons possession, one count of third-degree possession of a firearm at an educational institution, possession of a large capacity magazine and domestic violence charges, according to Teaneck police.If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
