Coast Guard searches for missing kayaker near Jamaica Beach
In Houston, Sarah has primarily reported on housing, poverty, mental health and religion. She returned to the Chronicle in Oct. 2022 after a stint with ProPublica, where she was an investigative reporter.
Sarah previously investigated sexual abuse and cover-ups in the independent fundamental Baptist movement while at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Another story of hers about domestic violence victims in Connecticut getting arrested for calling the police led to a change in the state's law.
