With an effective, frenetic effort, Terance Mann kept his side close with a gem of a game, but the Denver Nuggets carved the Clippers up in the corners in a 127-115 victory before a crowd of 16,089 at Ball Arena in Denver.
The Nuggets entered play Tuesday as the Western Conference’s sixth seed, though they were jockeying for that spot with the seventh-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves. Marcus Morris Sr., Reggie Jackson, Isaiah Hartenstein and Robert Covington all scored 14 points apiece, not enough to knock off a Nuggets team that shot 16 for 32 from 3-point range – including 6 for 9 from the corners.
