Chris Bianco, the much celebrated pizza chef from Phoenix and the owner of Pizzeria Bianco and other Valley restaurants, is set to appear on an upcoming Netflix series.on Sept. 7 and it is all about pizza. The new six-episode season will feature one pizza chef per episode and the first will be on Bianco.
“Chris Bianco changed pizza in America forever,” Netflix wrote in the show’s press material. “He introduced the artisanal style that has blossomed in the last 30 years, became the first pizzaiolo to win a James Beard Award, and his Pizzeria Bianco in Phoenix, Ariz., is the stuff of legend.” Bianco has received much acclaim and press coverage over the past few decades, including making multiple appearances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”and he recently opened another location of his Pizzeria Bianco restaurant in Los Angeles. He also owns the restaurants Tratto and Pane Bianco in Phoenix and he has his own line of canned tomatoes.
