Prices start at just under $20,000 for the fleet-spec Trailblazer L model, with the more common LS trim coming in at about $23,000. At the top of the range, AWD Trailblazer RS and Activ models can be had for approximately $28,000.
Consider that the Blazer starts at just under $30,000 for the basic L trim, while the better-equipped 1LT is closer to $34,000. High-end V-6 AWD models like the RS or near-lux Premier trims cost about $45,000 to $47,000.What's a benefit of the Trailblazer's low power? Fuel economy—it's more efficient than the Blazer. The Blazer is thirstier, but not by much. The 2.0-liter turbo-four with FWD is the most efficient combination, scoring 22/29 mpg. Blazer models with the V-6 and AWD are the least efficient, rated at 19/26 mpg. Despite that, the Blazer can cover more ground between fill-ups thanks to its 19.4- or 21.7-gallon fuel tank, while Trailblazers have a 13.2-gallon reserve.Less is more when it comes to tight parking spaces and congested streets.
