Freshman Noah Scavo shot 71 to help Chaminade win the Southern Section Division 4 championship on Monday. Sunny Hills won the Division 1 title.
In Division 2, San Marcos stamped itself as one of the best teams in the Southland, shooting 366 to win by two strokes at River Ridge Golf Club‘s Victoria Lakes Course in Oxnard. Leo Metzger shot 68. Whittier La Serna finished second.
Linfield Christian won Division 5 at 399, a one-stroke win over Anaheim Canyon at Western Hills CC. Loma Linda won Division 7 at Chino Creek with a 447. The individual championships and team qualifying tournament for state competition will take place Thursday at River Ridge.
