He was transferred to a York County rehabilitation center, but died Saturday after developing sepsis.
A York County man died at a rehabilitation center Saturday because of injuries he suffered in a car crash 12 weeks ago, the coroner’s office said.
Timothy Billman, 65, of Dover Township, clipped a telephone pole and crashed head-on into a tree around 5:10 p.m. Feb. 5 while driving in the area of Admire and South Salem Church roads, Coroner Pamela Gay said. Billman was taken to WellSpan York Hospital for treatment and eventually transferred to Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Spring Garden Township, Gay said.
After medical providers tried for weeks to treat the complications of his injuries and the subsequent sepsis, Billman died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday at Yorkview, according to the coroner’s office. Gay said an autopsy will not be performed. Routine toxicology tests were completed at the hospital after the crash.
