A judge sentenced Mark Anthony Ressel at the hearing for two counts of harassment, which are third-degree misdemeanors. He started serving the sentence up to one year Thursday in the Lancaster County Prison. According to a police report and affidavit, officers responded to the 1000 block of Grofftown Road in Lancaster at 9 p.m. on June 10 where they were told Ressel stabbed a person. He had also threatened and hurt the victim the day before by punching them in the head, court documents say.
The fork got lodged in the person’s right cheek and left a puncture wound when removed, according to the criminal complaint. The victim was taken to Lancaster General Hospital to be evaluated.
