On the heels of his game-winning shot in the semifinals, Mobley led all scorers with 28 points on 12 of 20 from the field to go with 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in 27 dominant minutes while repeatedly taking advantage of the undersized Rockets.
“I try to not worry about stuff I can’t control. Did I agree with that? No. But it is what it is,” Mobley said when asked about being snubbed from the all-tournament team. “I will take the championship over that all day.”
