California instituted a hate crime tip line in light of rising crime levels. The hotline, known as CA vs Hate, is part of an initiative from Gov GavinNewsom and the California Civil Rights Department. It included $110 million for hate crime programs.

Now, Californians have another tool to ensure that not only justice is served, but that individuals have access to additional resources to help deal with the lingering wounds that remain after such a horrendous crime occurs,” he added.
