The San Antonio volunteer group has rescued and adopted more than 275 rabbits since its first rescue in January 2016.That leaves rescue groups such as Alamo City House Rabbits with a herculean task. The nonprofit spends $30,000 a year on veterinary care for its rescues, which includes microchipping, spaying and neutering, and vaccinating against rabbit hemorrhagic virus.
